Hello! My name is Christine Carlsson and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a MA in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

I am a multi-cultural therapist who has spent significant periods of time in both the Philippines and Sweden, in addition to the United States. I have almost 20 years of experience with helping people of all ages accept themselves and their situations, while at the same time gently working toward becoming the best and healthiest version of themselves. I have worked primarily in community mental health and as a school counselor, as well as directing and managing student care in a school setting. I also have experience with Christian pastoral care. My passion is to see people develop healthy relationships, manage conflict, and regulate emotions, especially in a family or workplace setting.

My therapeutic approach is warm, open, and honest. I see myself as a coach who comes alongside you to gently listen to your story at your own pace, encourage you and help you expand your choices for new ways for thinking and behaving that could help you heal and grow.  In counseling sessions we may explore family connections, more or less helpful patterns of thinking, as well as discuss concrete steps to feel better.  I gladly welcome clients of all worldviews.
