Hello, my name is Kristin MacCaughey. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and earned a Master of Arts degree from Ashland Theological Seminary in Clinical Counseling in 2012. I am passionate about mental health and helping my clients find balance as they work towards their goals.

I have experience working with a variety of ages and concerns, including mood and anxiety disorders, perinatal mood and anxiety, pregnancy loss, couples counseling, eating disorders, adolescents, grief and loss, trauma, parenting and co-parenting, and adjusting to life changes. I have worked with people from a variety of backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses.

My intention as a therapist is to help my clients have a safe space to process their feelings and provide nonjudgmental, empathetic support and interventions tailored to their unique situation. I generally use a client-centered approach and see counseling as a collaborative process. I believe that everyone comes into a therapists’ office with a unique story and seek to honor my clients’ strengths as we work through their concerns together.
