I believe we are shaped by the stories we have endured, especially the painful, hidden, and unseen ones. Healing is a relational process; it happens in small and big ways as we are met with safety, curiosity, and compassionate presence. I strive to make therapy a place for you to slow down, be deeply listened to, and make meaning of what you have been carrying.
I primarily work with children ages 2–12 and the caregivers who love and support them. It’s a joy to witness children express and families become more connected along the way.
My work with children (and their caregivers) includes trauma, anxiety and fears, behavioral concerns, adoption, grief and loss, self-esteem, school refusal, selective mutism, sleep concerns, peer relationship struggles, family conflict, and challenges within the parent-child relationship. My approach includes offering support to caregivers as they navigate their child’s needs, their own experiences, and the challenges that can come with parenting.
I also enjoy working with adults who are navigating experiences such as trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, burnout, spirituality and faith, chronic illness, and transition.
I approach counseling through a person-centered, relational, and experiential framework. My approach is informed by attachment theory, play, interpersonal neurobiology, family systems, and trauma-informed care. I have specific training in Child-Centered Play therapy, Filal Family Therapy, and Parenting Skills. I am working towards my Registered Play Therapist certificate. I wholeheartedly believe play is children’s powerful way to communicate, explore emotions, build skills, and make meaning of experiences.
Whether we are sitting on the floor in the playroom or talking together, my hope is that you leave therapy more connected to yourself, your strengths, and the people you love.
Outside the therapy room, I find life’s joys in brightly painted nails, doing (literally anything) with people I love, the sea, sun, and sand, tending to growing things, a well-timed pun, and showing up to my own weekly therapy.
