Common Questions About Counseling

How much does it cost?
Our fees are $160 for an initial session and $135 for each additional session.

How am I going to pay for that on a weekly basis?
Ask yourself if your mental well-being is worth $135 a week? Just as a car runs better with regular maintenance, so do you. You will perform better at work and break down less.

Do you take insurance?
Yes, we are in-network for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna and we can bill any PPO insurance you have for you. We can bill Blue Cross/Blue Shield HMO; in-network if you have a doctors referral and out-of-network if you don’t. If you have any other HMO insurance we can provide you a super-bill that you can mail to your insurance provider.

What are your hours?
We have daytime, evening and weekend times available. Appointments vary according to each therapist’s schedule. We can accommodate most reasonable schedules.

How long will it take?
That depends on you—what you want to work on and what level of improvement you are looking for. Typically clients see their therapist for anywhere between 3 months to over a year.

Can you help me with my unique problem?
We don’t know until we find out what it is. However, there is nothing new under the sun and, even if we haven’t seen your specific problem before, we can learn along side of you as we journey together to find an answer that works for you.

Does counseling really work?
Yes. If you really want to change, you can. It is not easy; it is not quick. However, everyone can change. Everyone can find new meaning and perspective in life.
