Christian counseling, first and foremost, is compassionate.
We mourn with those who mourn and rejoice with those who rejoice. Jesus cared for people who were hurting, and we believe in carrying on this tradition. Each of us has received comfort from God during personal trials, and from those trials we have learned to give the comfort we ourselves received from God. It’s our prayer that you would understand the greatness of God’s immense love for you.
Our core beliefs:
- Christian counseling is based on truth. That truth is the Word of God. The Word of God is the highest authority and provides all that a Christian needs for training in righteousness.
- Believers can and should be challenged to live a better life through obedience to God’s word.
- God’s word is relevant to everyday life. It offers great wisdom concerning relationships, communication, emotions, finances and family issues.
- Prayer is powerful. God hears and desires for us to call out to Him, and we will offer to pray for you and your situation. We can also lead you to passages of scripture that have prayers relevant to what you are currently going through.
This is a safe place to heal.
We are here to support the work of local churches by ministering to anyone within the church who requires more time and expertise than church staff has to offer. In addition, the local church is not perfect and, at times, can cause additional pain. We are here to listen and to support you through the hurt.
Our team of therapists practices their faith in different denominations. Stenzel Clinical Services is not affiliated with any denomination. We offer Christian counseling to anyone who seeks it. Whether you are Catholic, Baptist, EV Free, Lutheran, non-denominational, just curious about God or not affiliated with a church at all, we are here to offer Christian counseling to you in a non-judgmental environment.
