“Pornography: Christians’ Drug of Choice (Both Men and Women)” – Marnie Ferree

The use of pornography has a profound negative impact on sexuality, attachment and intimacy within a marriage. This workshop offers an effective approach for restoring relational and sexual health.

“Childhood Sexual Abuse and Its Impact on the Spouse” – Dr. Andrew and Ashley Schmutzer

Along with the well-known struggles that victims of sexual abuse face is the lesser known dynamics that the spouses of survivors also have to deal with. This seminar explores some of the difficult dynamics that can play out in a marriage when one is a survivor of abuse.

“A Single Calling: God’s Unique Purpose for Singles in Ministry” – Dr. E. Susanne Francis

In a Christian context that implicitly and explicitly promotes marriage as the ultimate lifestyle, single adults often lack clear visions for God and self-honoring ministry. Dr. E Susanne Francis will discuss the unique potential for single adults within ministry that begins with an understanding of identity and wholeness in Christ.

“The Pastor & Ministry Leader’s Guide to Marriage and Parenting in a Fishbowl” – Grant and Jennifer Stenzel

How do we balance our call to love and lead our family with our call to minister to our flock? This can be especially challenging while members of our congregation are watching. Grant Stenzel is a former pastor and current counselor along with his wife, Jennifer, who has been a counselor for 15 years.

“Desafío de Amor” (The Love Challenge) – Dr. Alicia La Hoz (in Spanish)

“Enriqueciendo la Relación Matrimonial para Pastores y sus Esposas” (Enhancing Marriage Relationships for Pastors and their Wives) – Dr. Charles and Elizabeth Woehr (in Spanish)

(You have heard the phrase about the pastor being married to the church. This workshop will examine the pastor’s true marriage, challenges for that unique relationship, and how to make that marriage blossom without losing sight of the demands of ministry in the Church.)
