Most of us are carrying around pain that we rarely show to others. It takes courage and vulnerability to invite someone in to share what we are carrying.

With decades of experience in social service and ministry settings, I’ve walked alongside people through a wide range of challenges—extreme trauma, sexual abuse, marital crisis, grief, family tragedy, parenting struggles, and major life transitions. Each person’s story is unique, and I consider it a privilege to offer a space where that story can be honored and explored with compassion

I utilize a holistic approach, recognizing that we hold trauma in our bodies and that having the tools to understand and attend to what we are experiencing is the first step to address what is overwhelming us. Often there are issues that are underneath what we are currently struggling with, having developed patterns out of other parts of our history. Identifying ‘the why’ at the root of the current struggle can help with understanding patterns of behaviors and begin to build skills to respond differently.

I use a trauma-informed, strength-based approach that acknowledges that we are all doing the best that we can, while believing that God has made us remarkably resilient and we have the power to change and grow. We are created to be in relationship with others and healing happens most effectively in a safe and supportive environment with another. I would welcome an opportunity to partner with you in your journey.
