Nice to meet you! My name is Dan Phillips and I am a Licensed Clinical Professor Counselor here at Stenzel Clinical Services. My aim is to collaborate in the process of restoration of people lives—providing compassion in order to renew hope. Thus, helping each individual and/or family I work with to experience an increasingly enriched life.

I hold the following degrees/licenses:

  • MA Clinical Psychology- Obtained in 2005 from Wheaton College
  • CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) obtained in 2007
  • LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) obtained in 2009.

As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) I have a heart for those affected by the destructive patterns of addiction (primarily Chemical Dependency, but also Process addiction—self-harm, sex/porn, gambling etc.) with a Recovery Oriented approach.

I have also intentionally dedicated a significant portion of my career to developing a focus on issues specifically related to and impacting adolescents and their families. I have extensive training and often utilize experiential activities to create a forum for change with these clients.

Another area of passion I have is for helping people who are struggling spiritually to wrestle with questions around faith, disappointments, or spiritual dryness in order to renew their hope.

Additionally I work with couples on navigating marriage related issues and developing a realistic, loving, and restorative perspective of marriage.

As a result of my comprehensive clinical experience over the past 13 years, I have strong clinical skills in working with a number of other issues/diagnoses including: Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Spirituality, Men’s Issues/Masculinity, Sexuality, Depression, Anxiety, and issues related to Self-worth.
