Nice to meet you! My name is Deepak Santhiraj and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker here at Stenzel Clinical Services. As a clinician, it is my privilege to help navigate your personal journey toward realizing how your longings are inherent to the human design and how to satisfy them healthily and holistically. My approach is hope-filled and flexible while being collaborative around your unique needs, priorities, and values. Rather than feeling stuck, I desire to walk alongside of you to identify the circumstances that are preventing you from pressing forward in your journey.
I have extensive and broad-ranging experience while working within the IL public school system in providing counseling, psychoeducation, case management, and crisis intervention to adolescents. I have also been involved in a counseling and leadership capacity with college students and young adults while being in direct practice on campuses with groups of individuals in these seasons of life.
I offer balance between time and personal space for reflection while challenging you to move forward in your journey. I hold Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Spanish and a Master’s degree in Social Work, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I have been in cross-cultural contexts abroad and have additional post-graduate clinical training with a trauma-informed approach.
