Hello, my name is Ethan! I am an intern at Stenzel and I will graduate with my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College in May of 2026.
I consider it a great privilege to bear witness to people’s stories through our therapeutic relationship. I seek to create a space in which you feel welcome to be your true self with me, and I think through that, we can work together to help you live a more fulfilling life. My hope is that, through empathy, understanding, and skill, I can be a resource for you to grow.
I believe that therapy should be encouraging and empowering and utilize a theoretical approach that is focused on this. I have a focus in Adlerian therapy as well as reality therapy, both of which have strong emphasis on client autonomy in the therapeutic relationship. I also utilize tools from cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and various grounding exercises to help your whole self feel better.
I am excited to walk alongside you together.
