I became a counselor in 2004 and have since worked as a therapist and social worker serving children, teens and families in the community and school setting. I have a Bachelors degree in Family Studies from Central Michigan University and a Masters in Counseling/Marriage and Family therapy from Western Michigan University.

I bring to the counseling session a warm and open space to discuss the areas of your life where you are feeling “stuck”. I aim to tailor sessions to the unique needs and interest of the client. I often integrate creative strategies like play (with kids), art, bibliotherapy or poetry into the process.

If anxiety and depression are affecting your enjoyment of life, I am experienced to support you. I am also particularly passionate about parenting, family issues and relationship struggles and welcome the chance to work through these challenges with couples and families. For those who wish to incorporate their Christian faith into their therapy work, I happily offer Christian Counseling.
