About the Class:
The BOLD™ group is an 8-week courage-building group for adolescents based on Dr. Brené Brown’s research. Participants will engage in activities that focus on topics including values, courage, vulnerability and authenticity. With a group of their peers, teens will get the opportunity to identify and process what is getting in the way of being their truest selves and develop strategies to become a more authentic version of themselves. Participants will gain coping skills, address self-worth and self-esteem issues and work collaboratively with their peers.
About the Facilitator:
Katie Scheer Dawson, LPC, CDFW-Candidate Katie is a therapist who focuses on building self-worth, confidence and coping skills in adolescents and young adults. She is trained in facilitating The Daring Way™ curricula, based on the research of Dr. Brown.
